TimeTracker

Help & Documentation

TimeTracker is a calm, distraction-free tool designed to help you understand how you spend your time — daily, weekly, and over the long run.

Why TimeTracker?

The idea behind TimeTracker came from a simple personal need. I wanted to understand my days better.

I usually organize my time into focused work sessions, gym time, rest, learning, and personal activities. By tracking these hours, I can look back at the end of the week and clearly see where my time actually went — not where I thought it went.

Over time, this helped me improve balance, consistency, and awareness. TimeTracker was built to support that mindset quietly and without pressure.

Getting Started

  1. Open TimeTracker
  2. Set your daily goals
  3. Start tracking your tasks
  4. Review your day calmly

Daily Goals

At the beginning of your day, go to Daily Goals. Most days are similar, so you can easily use:

  • Copy from Yesterday to reuse your tasks
  • Edit durations or priorities if needed

This keeps planning fast and removes decision fatigue.

Tracking Time (Stopwatch)

When you start a task, open the Stopwatch and start tracking.

  • Work on one task at a time
  • Pause or stop when finished
  • Each session is recorded automatically

Manual Entry

If you worked away from your computer or forgot to start the timer, you can use Manual Entry.

  • Add the task name
  • Set start and end time
  • Save it instantly

This ensures your timeline always reflects reality.

Daily Timeline

The Daily Timeline gives you a clear overview of your day:

  • What you worked on
  • How long each task took
  • Gaps and rest periods

This view is designed to inform — not judge.

Reviewing Goals

At the end of the day, return to Daily Goals:

  • See what was completed
  • Identify unfinished tasks
  • Adjust tomorrow’s plan calmly

Export & Backup

You can export your data as a JSON file.

This is important in case:

  • Browser cache is cleared
  • System is reset
  • You switch devices

Importing this file restores your full history from the first day you started using TimeTracker.

Tips for Better Tracking

  • Track honestly, not perfectly
  • Use fewer tasks, not more
  • Review weekly, not obsessively
  • Let the data guide you, not pressure you

Troubleshooting

  • Lost data? Import your last exported JSON
  • Missed a task? Use Manual Entry
  • Day looks empty? That’s okay — rest matters

Final Note

TimeTracker is not about productivity pressure. It’s about awareness, balance, and clarity.

Use it as a mirror — not a judge.
